TomTom GO 720 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator

The TomTom Go 720 is an older model but still functional.

LIKES:
In country TECH-Support!
Bluetooth phone compatibility
- iPhone
Wide screen 4.3"
Customization
- map color interface.
- startup/icon/shutdown wallpapers.
Lane Assistance
- functional but outdated compared to newer generations

DISLIKES:
Cluttered navigation interface.
- 1/3 bottom of interface distracting
- Upcoming street names too small
- Next direction/arrow located in a "small" bottom left corner
Poorly designed menu
- Too many pages
No smart navigation option for mostly "High/Freeway" driving
Suction-mounting kit came loose multiple times
Had to push volume to 100% during phone conversations.

OTHERS:
My unit had really old maps. Must have been sitting on the shelf for quite some time. Luckily after staying on hold for 30 minutes, I finally got through to Tech Support (located in NY) and was able to get the latest maps for free as my unit (or rather most TomTom units) was guaranteed the most recent maps after e-mailing retail proof of purchase (30 days) + latest map guaranteed form.

Nitpicking: Never seems to direct me to take the freeway located next to my residence even though its the fastest and closest way to my destination... even after selecting "Fastest Route" or "Shortest Route".

FINAL:
Navigation interface is lacking compared to my previously stolen Garmin unit but still functional. Customer service was good and promptly fixed my problem. Unit was on sale with free shipping through Amazon and I took the bait. 2 months of usage and no issues so far.
