This is my second Garmin. I also own the nuvi255. For navigation, there's no difference. Was disappointed that my phone was not compatible with the bluetooth. You should go to the [...] website to see if your phone will work. Also, the voice recog does not work that well. Unit worked fine after I downloaded the new maps from [...]. Unit arrived quickly from seller. I recognized that the initial software was causing response delays.
