I am a new GPS user, I used to depend on my mapbook...Well I still do, kinda. But the point is, I looked around for a good GPS and I found one...that being the Garmin Nuvi 5000...I was a little concerned about such a device. I am some what computer knowlegeable, and thought this little machine may be to much. I mean linking to a satellite and letting it tell me where to go...more over how to get there. Kinda scary for me...Oh I still keep my map book behind me...you know...just in case. But I think ounce for ounce it is a good thing to have...I read lots of comments on them...Mostly about Garmin, because that was the one I wanted. I read some that were glowing and some were kinda dim...So I figured what the hey, find a good one, buy it and use it...SO that is what did and do...Some folks said "Garmin lost a customer." Ehh not me...They found a customer. Get more detail about Garmin n?vi 5000 - GPS receiver - automotive.
