I've been a cab driver for about 18 years. I bought this unit because of the price ($75) and just to try it out. I've had it for about 5 months.
I am very satisfied with this unit. It is easy to see. It has both 2d and 3D. It continually adjusts itself if you decide to take a different route than suggested. It uses voice directions to you can keep your eyes on the road. You can indicate changes such as road blockages. If you find a place in your location that is not on the internal map, you can save it to your unit. It will adjust for day and night. The speller feature is very handy. You just start and it makes suggestions. It will remind you if go over the speed limit for your area. It saves the last 50 locations so you can find where you have been quickly. You can search by address, points of interest, intersections, or you can just find what you are looking for on the map. You can set interim points on your route such as restaurants, sites, or other important locations. You can use your fingers or any soft plastic device such as the point of a pen. There are many more features I did not mention.
The only drawbacks I can find is that you can not easily update the map. The one included is fine but sooner or later you will have to find a replacement. You can go to the Navegon website and have them notify you when an update is available. Second, you must keep liquids such as cleaners away from the face.
All in all you can't go wrong with this GPS. German engineering insures you that this is a quality product. It is well thought out. The price is right for those not wanting to pay a lot for this technology.Get more detail about Becker Traffic Assist Highspeed.
