I thought the base had a suction cup like the car GPS mounts...but it attached permanently with a double-stick adhesive pad, meaning that the base is always attached to your dash, even when you don't need the GPS. And you can't transfer if from vehicle to vehicle (I bought this mount to use with my GPS60 while travelling, usually with rented vehicles). Then, you have to have the belt clip screw to mount the GPS into the holder so it doesn't slide out. Can't find it anywhere. So, for me, I have a $20 paperweight.
