I bought this as an entry into geocaching that wouldnt cause me checkbook pains and I wouldnt have to cringe everytime my kids wanted to handle the device. So far its worked well. It is not as updated as necessary for full use, but its a great way to get started. It found 20 within a couple of miles from my house, but I know there is double that as we have started messing with the [...] website also. I am getting the update cable for Fathers Day also and between that and the websites we should be set for at least another year before we really will want a more expensive one and now we will have a back up the kids can handle when we go out camping in the future.
