SkyCaddie SG2.5 Golf GPS (Black) Get it now!

I have had a Sky Caddy for three years and use it in AZ & MN. When the unit operates, it is great. When you have a problem and must speak with a technician, be prepared to ask several times for assistance. Customer service is not a strong point with this organization.Get more detail about SkyCaddie SG2.5 Golf GPS (Black).

Biologic Bike Mount for Iphone Top Quality

I mountain bike 4-6 days a week in Philadelphia in Wissahickon and Belmont parks. After about 6 months now the case is still working and I trust it, though it is far from perfect.

I look at this case like my helmet; it will protect from the basic smacks of branches and such, but it will probably only last one catastrophic crash, and with any luck it will protect the phone when it does. Fortunately, though I have a number of falls, nothing has come close to a full impact of the case.

I did not trust the lid clasp from the beginning. Initially I used a back-up rubber band but now i use a tie-tie and keep it cinched snug, but not too tight. I use the same one time after time and store it around my bell when I take the phone out. I don't ride much in the rain but sweat or my hydration system does get on it and so far no moisture has penetrated the case. If there were a real downpour though I have a back up plastic sandwich bag I can through over it.

I wish the case was sturdier and had a flip down clear plastic cover to go over the current 'touch-through' cover. AS it is the screen will probably break if it ever contacted a rock at speed, so having another added cover that you can still see through would be ideal. You'd just flip it up to the current cover to use the touch screen.

Many of my friends ask why I'd have the phone on the bar. I like it there is all. It's not like I have to make phone calls when riding, (though it's convenient to pull it out if I do). But I like having the phone to check everything from weather to texting a lost buddy on trail. (texting is a bit cumbersome through the extra screen, but does work). I'd never get to the phone if it was in my pack. But I also use an app called GPS Tracker that simply sends out a live GPS signal so when I'm out on my own late at night my people can track me live and make sure I'm still on the move. I can't wait until the iphone can multi task though as there are number of interesting bike apps I'd like to be running concurrently.

The video works fantastic on the flat, but as soon as you hit the trails it vibrates too much. I still have some great video and people find it impressive, but nothing like a specialized system. Perhaps the mount could float somehow in a future version which would make the video more useful for mountain biking. I do have some examples though if you are interested. Also, audio recording is horrendous; the case just creaks loud the whole time (you only hear it on playback). I'm sure an external mic would fix this. For a road rider though the video is great. And I love having the camera accessible. I personally like the handlebar mount view over that of a helmet mount.

Recently I caught an amazing video of a tree falling naturally in the Wiss and that was mainly due to the phone being available right there in the case, (even though I didn't shoot it from the case.)

I've seen this same mount clasp on other devices and it prone to failure. Over time I can't tighten it without it slipping. Now I use a big rubber gasket over the bar to keep it steady, but I can no longer get the connection tight enough and it will slip down after a few logs or bumps. I can live with it though; the phone will not fall off the bike as along as it is slide all the way in past the click.

So improvements would be an extra sturdier clear cover over the screen. A better clasp for the lid and for the mount, and a less vibrating or perhaps floating mount so as to capture smoother video.

If someone knows a way I could hook up the biologic USB charger to a wheel without a special dynamo charger please let me know. I can see that coming in handy for day trips. It would be I guess a dynamo that can powered from contact with the the tire.

Lastly, if you want to make calls I recommend a bluetooth headset. I've used one in a pinch and can easily call without taking the phone out of the case. I've answer calls through the case but have to be dead stopped and on speaker to hear them. My people know to call me multiple times if there is an emergency cause otherwise I let most calls go to voicemail.

4 stars mainly because though it's not perfect but has lasted through a lot of rough miles.Get more detail about Biologic Bike Mount for Iphone.

SkyCaddie SG5 Golf GPS (Black) This instant

The Sky Caddie SG5 is a wonderful aid for any golfer who plays different courses. I tested it on my home course, where I don't really need it, and was pleased with the results. Having now played on about half a dozen "foreign" courses I know that I have saved 2-4 shots per round because I knew where hazards were and how far the green really was. I would not want to play an unknown course again without my Sky Caddie.Get more detail about SkyCaddie SG5 Golf GPS (Black).

Shop For TomTom ONE 130 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator

I love my TOMTOM!!! I tease my BF sometimes that if it were down to him and my TOMTOM it would be tough for me to choose which I would take on a trip!!! I have used TOMTOM now in three different cities over the past two years and it has been amazing. I used it extensively in Eugene OR and Vancouver WA and also Spokane WA. I have also used it for long distance trips covering several states. I have used it to find my way to work and back home so many times . . . I can't imagine life without it now!! I have never had problems with the speakers - they are always plenty loud! I usually keep it almost all the way turned down now because I'm pretty aware of it when I'm driving and don't need to hear the prompts. If I'm trying to find a new place in the downtown of a city I usually turn my radio off and the speaker up a bit so that I can concentrate more. I love that you can look and see time estimates for when you are going to get someplace and also that you can change the views and what stats are shown. Also love the directions that you can see in text (just like mapquest) and that you can browse the map. Occasionally newer places it wont find. If you are trying to put in an exact address of a place you found and it doesn't have it I just save the cross street and my memory serves well enough the once I'm there I can find it again anyways. The battery doesn't last forever . . . I would guess about two to three hours. I just keep the charger in my car though and have it wrapped over my steering wheel (my TOMTOM is on the LT side instead of under the rear view mirrow) and it is super easy to just plug in the charger when I get in the car so that has never been an issue. You wont regret getting a TOMTOM!! I'm getting my parents one for Christmas this year!Get more detail about TomTom ONE 130 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator.

Where To Buy Garmin Foot Pod - GPS receiver wireless step sensor

I am using this footpod with the Forerunner 305 I purchased at the same time. Pairing the device with the 305 was easy and the 305 immediately detects the pod when I power it up in the vicinity. In the winter many of my runs are on an indoor track or treadmill. Calibration out of the box was pretty good, registering 6.08 miles for what should be a 6.0 mile track run. Purchase Golf Buddy Pro GPS Range Finder

Works very well so far but not perfect. I have found that every so often it drops the fairway. You need to go back and change the hole to the one your on (three times a round). Another thing is to be sure and update your GPS at the website (Its free, lots of updates). Overall It has really helped my game and I am happy with the unit. I would recommend it compared to having a monthly or annual membership. It really is a very good deal for the price. It does everything that Gof Buddy advertises. Just turn it on when you get to the course and it will find you..Very very user friendly.Get more detail about Golf Buddy Pro GPS Range Finder.

Save ARKON GN097 Garmin Nuvi Lighter Socket Mount with Accessory Power Dongle

The idea of this mount is good, but the execution is poor.
I purchased this and thought it was great for the first few weeks I had it. Despite being extremely careful with it, the exposed wire shown in photos started separating at it's insertion point and the device charging failed after only several weeks of use. This is just like cheap headphones that lose sound in one ear after a few weeks use because the thin audio cables start to break off of the ends at the ear buds.
The end that plugs into the car's charging port also fell apart once while unplugging it, but I was able to reassemble it and use it again until that super-fragile electrical wire started to fail.
You can consider it a disposable device.
I won't buy another like this. I wish they would make one of much more rugged quality even for several dollars more cost.Get more detail about ARKON GN097 Garmin Nuvi Lighter Socket Mount with Accessory Power Dongle.
