Lowest Price Caliber P-3600 GPS Navigator

This unit would not open in the GPS mode so I emailed the company (only way you can contact them), got a RMS number and returned it for repair. That was over 2 months ago. I know they received it because it was sent insured so it could be tracked. I have sent numerous emails inquiring on the status of the unit, but they do not respond. What am I to do? I hope others learn from my mistake and avoid buying from this company. Get more detail about Caliber P-3600 GPS Navigator.

Low Price Plenio VXA-4300 4.3-Inch Widescreen Touch Screen Navigator

Where do I begin? The POI is lacking and outdated, upgrade map is not available, short battery life (less than an hour), screen is not the brightest. However, knowing all that, I purchase one anyway because the price I found was too good to pass up last year (well under $100) since I know I can add application to make it a more powerful device. This is because it runs on WinCE OS (not to be confused with WiMobile OS on mobile phones/PDA) and the software are right on the 1GB SD card. Just buy another a 2GB (under $10), copied the 1GB SD card to it and have fun customizing it the way you like. You can start by search for the phrase "plenio VXA-4300 wince forum" on your favorite Search Engine for more information. Just a warning, this is really for those who like to tinker with technical things, aka IT guy/geek.Get more detail about Plenio VXA-4300 4.3-Inch Widescreen Touch Screen Navigator.

Save Navman PiN 570 Portable PC / GPS Navigator

I like the Navman, for the price, and the features you get. I did find, like the other writer did, that it can take some time to acquire the GPS signal, sometimes. Usually, when it does have a delay, it's like 2 to three minutes. I've never experienced anything close to an hour.

It can be somewhat cumbersome to enter addresses, but, overall, I think it's a great little gadget.

Also, to the writer who stated that the pegs are in the wrong place on the cradle for the unit? Those pegs are actually adjustable, so you can slide them to where you need them.Get more detail about Navman PiN 570 Portable PC / GPS Navigator.

Discount Support GPS-4V106-IUS 4 Inch Gps Auto Navigation

The select features on this GPS are frustrating. You often have to redo your selections because the GPS likes to make suggestions that don't help. It also won't let you look ahead in your directions and doesn't say street names. Get more detail about Support GPS-4V106-IUS 4 Inch Gps Auto Navigation.

Cheapest Uniden GPS-352 MapTrax Automotive GPS Navigator with 3.5" Display

This is email I received after asking about updating MapTraxx SD card. Sounds like present GPS352 units are out-of-date and will never up-to-date.
-----------
Uniden America Corp. has a development team focused on bringing new, innovative GPS products to the market. Recently we began developing software internally and plan to provide our own map updates for future GPS products. The GPS product you have does not have any map updates available and there are no scheduled updates for the future on that particular model. Cheap Cobra Electronics Nav One 2500 Mobile Navigator

This was our first GPS system & we loved it at first & then we realized that there were better ones out there & we started seeing the flaws. It's very slow. Sometimes you might drive a whole mile before the map has even loaded. Sometimes we pass our turns because it's not very accurate on the screen as to where you are. Sometimes it just doesn't want to get a signal at all.

We do like how it advises you along the way as to how long before your turn & that it will find a new route for you if you happen to pass your turn. It's been helpful though. I'd say that it's not bad but if I were shopping for a new GPS I would read the reviews before purchasing. I'm sure there are better ones out there for not much more than this one.Get more detail about Cobra Electronics Nav One 2500 Mobile Navigator.

Buying Evesham NavCam 7000 - GPS receiver - automotive

I found this product to be inaccurate with directions; I often could not even get a street or address to come up! I definately would not recommend this brand of gps. I discovered that it is well worth it to spend more money on a quality gps rather than get it cheap!Get more detail about Evesham NavCam 7000 - GPS receiver - automotive.

Order Mobile Crossing WP105 Way Point Portable PC and GPS Navigator

I purchased this unit primarily as small and portable Automotive GPS system. I also saw the merits of using it as a full function PDA capable of multimedia functions and other. In theory it seemed like a very good deal.
Upon first inspection I was excited. The PDA unit was slim and light (as advertised).
My excitement soon abated when I saw the monstrous concoction of a car mount that came with it. It was large, clumsy and ugly (it literally tripled the volume of the device) and it looked like a poorly engineered after market gizmo. For full functionality, it required three different wires connected on different sides of the unit. The satellite tracking module is an add on that connects into the top mounted SD card socket. It also adds considerable bulk and weight. Once installed on the windshield, the whole assembly was flimsy and unsteady, it was an eyesore. Its size interfered with proper driving visibility no matter where I mounted it (I drive an Impala with very generous dashboard space, I shudder to think what this would look like inside a sub compact).
Functionally, the unit appeared to work very well as a PDA device, it has a decent CPU, the screen appeared clear and the interface quite usable.
Satellite acquisition was sloooow and unpredictable and contrary to their advertisement, the unit comes only loaded with main highways and absolutely no street maps.
The adds say "ready to use out of the box". . Furthermore, the manufacturers web site shows a tutorial video for the unit that shows how the unit is ready to use right out of the box.
Not true! You have to register the unit with the manufacturer before you are authorized to download any maps, the process is cumbersome and time consuming
I purchaser Model 105 which supposedly differs from model 100 in that it comes with the whole USA preloaded. That is bull, the two models are identical except for their registration code. Model 100 entitles you to load only one region for free, Model 105 entitles you to load the whole USA. But here comes the twist, neither model has enough memory to hold more that one or two regions at the time so ?... You figure the rest!
I carefully repacked the unit and shipped back to AMAZON.
I cannot objectively say how well the unit performs on the road, I never got that far.
In lieu of the deceitful adds and the primitive engineering of the mounting accessories I believe the unit is not worth any consideration. Get more detail about Mobile Crossing WP105 Way Point Portable PC and GPS Navigator.

Shop For R5000 RV Infotainment system with Navigation

I was one of the first non OEM owners of the R5000. Installed it in my American Coach (2005). This item is standard on 2008 and later coaches by American - a luxury line of Fleetwood. Anyway, my experiences have been great, love this multi tasking machine. Have the side view cameras and replaced my rear B&W camera with the Sony color unit sold by Lectronix. The folks at Lectronix are great. Helped me design the retrofit so it was smooth with minimal adaptations. They even sent me the cables to convert the existing B&W camera to the color Sony using existing internal cabling.
Use the Garmin every day. The Pressure Pro has saved my tail several times when I would never have known I had a low tire.

I would recommend this product to anyone interested in having a music center, tire monitoring system, back up and side cameras and GPS, just to name a few, all in one neat package.

Thanks Lectronix for this fabulous product. Keep up the good work.

Deluo 32-029-13 Bluetooth GPS SiRF Star III with AutoRoute 2007 DVD

I purchased this for use in the streets of London. Normally, I have a pretty good sense of direction, but I don't think there is a single street in London that goes straight for more than 2 blocks. This unit was able to get and hold a signal in most locations, but not all. Apparently buildings can completely block the signal. On the plus side, the unit is different that pictured and very sleek with built in rubber on the bottom so it stay where put. Battery life was no issue. It fit in my pocket with no problem and I had no difficulty pairing it to my iPac. The software was generally helpful with lots of useful points of interest, but I had trouble getting it to show the street names rather than the UK route numbers. When you are walking it is more helpful to know where Oxford St is that the A-14. Overall I would recommend this for people wanting a versatile unit with general Europe countries maps. It does work in the US too, you just need to purchase separate software maps.Get more detail about Deluo 32-029-13 Bluetooth GPS SiRF Star III with AutoRoute 2007 DVD.
